Obituary of Rosa Lydia Ortiz

Ms. Rosa Lydia Ortiz, 83, of Kernersville, NC passed away on March 17, 2024 in New York. A native of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ernesto Ortiz and Santiaga Barrios.

Rosa is survived by her children, Rodney Rivera and wife, Maria, Wanda Peralta and husband, Hernan, Lissette Rivera and husband, Anibal, and Brenda Sanchez; her grandchildren, Justin Caban, Christopher Rivera, Jeremy Sanchez, Yessenia Garcia, Mathew Rivera, Katelyn Sanchez, Hailey Rosario; and her great-granddaughter, Everlee Rose Caban; her sister, Anna Rodriguez; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Teofilo Ortiz and sister, Ana Delia Feliciano.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville NC 27284 on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00PM - 7:00PM, with prayer services beginning at 3:00PM with Mr. Vicente Paredes officiating. Graveside funeral services will be at Mt. Gur Cemetery, 1050 Cemetery St, Kernersville, NC 27284 on Sunday, March 24, 2024 beginning at 11:00AM with Mr. Vicente Paredes officiating.
